FOR 60 years, the Paddle Steamer Gem has shone brightly as a tourist attraction at Swan Hill's Pioneer Settlement.

This month, the Pioneer Settlement and Swan Hill Rural City Council are inviting visitors to celebrate the Gem's diamond jubilee.

Opening on June 22, the Gem will be home to a temporary exhibition titled Gem: The Final Journey until October 1.
