THE Sea Lake farming community say they’ve been left in the dark over plans to protect Lake Tyrrell under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act.

Late last week farmers became aware of a Federal Government application in which preservation and protection is sought for a section of land surrounding the lake, including about 9000 hectares of private agricultural land.
