THE Victorian Government has announced a flow of funds to fast-track more flood studies so communities can prepare for future disasters.

The government said $22.2 million would help accelerate flood mapping data studies, which would be used to update planning council schemes so they could identify suitable locations for new development and avoid high flood-risk areas.
