WHILE the Murray River at Swan Hill remains below major flood levels, the consistently high waters have the community on alert.

Incident controller Dean Simmons, from the Swan Hill incident control centre (ICC), said there were still ongoing issues caused by the amount of water continuing to make its way down the river.

“The river is staying stubbornly high,” Mr Simmons told The Guardian.
