RUBBER ducks will stay dry his year, with the Swan Hill SES unit's annual duck race fundraiser on New Year's Day changing course.

The unit usually releases 2000 ducks into the Murray River.

However, floods in the Murray forced organisers to abandon the traditional race, opting for a hand-drawn competition.
