POWER outages plagued Murray Downs over the weekend as strong winds cut power to the region.

Following a blistering hot Saturday where temperatures reached 39 degrees a cold front swept across the state causing temperatures to plunge overnight.

The cold front, which moved up from the southwest, brought severe winds and heavy rain and affected the entire state.
