Regional visa wait could be two years - MP
MEMBER for Mallee and shadow assistant minister for regional health Anne Webster is concerned that a visa oversight by the Federal Government is exacerbating a dire regional health-care workforce crisis.

Dr Webster said a ministerial direction issued by Immigration Minister Andrew Giles had left skilled migrants in the health-care and education sectors who apply to work in the regions waiting more than two years for a visa.
