MURRAY River councillor Neil Gorey says modern day slavery, which involves human trafficking, is happening in local communities.

Cr Gorey moved a notice of motion at this week's ordinary council meeting that the council submit to the NSW Parliament inquiry into modern day slavery risks faced by temporary migrant workers in rural and regional NSW.
