INADEQUATE supervision has played a role in the drowning deaths of dozens of children over the past 14 years, according to the Victorian Coroners Court.
In a recent finding, Coroner Sarah Gebert observed 47 children, aged four and under, had drowned in Victoria between January 1, 2010 and March 31, 2024. A lack of supervision contributed to their deaths.
