Around the Churches

Anglican

LAST Sunday, we welcomed Rev Nick and Ruth Hearnshaw to our Parish. Nick will be our locum for about a month.

He will lead the combined service with our Kerang neighbours at 11am at the Lake Charm Hall this Sunday, with a Bring and Share lunch. If you need a ride, please phone the office on 50322506. Please wear your name tags as this helps everyone.

Another enjoyable and successful Boot Sale was held last week. Thankyou to the people who help with set-up, working on the day and packing up.

Thank you to our customers too! Outside stallholders participate as well, such as photographic products, plants, honey and baking. The sale is open to you if you have products to sell.

Have you visited our centre at Nyah West that includes a Men’s Shed, Op Shop and Drop-in Centre? You will be warmly welcomed to any part of this.

We need more Op Shop volunteers, especially for Wednesdays and Fridays, so if this interests you, then please contact the office. It is always a sociable day out while working at the Op Shop.

Grain Shed

WHAT a great day last Sunday was, witnessing a baptism!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Friday night our Grain Shed Youth meet at 7pm and we thank our Youth Leaders for all their dedication and time that they so willingly give on the night but also preparing.

Let’s not forget the parents too who transport them to and fro, thank you.

This Sunday after our 10am service there will be a special meeting, followed by the AGM.

Grain Shed kids desk is open from 9.45am and lots of fun is guaranteed while learning more about Jesus.

Since we have been back this term, our mainly music program has seen lots of regulars and new families coming.

We love to get to spend time with everybody and if the weather is kind, also outside for playtime, the sandpit being extra popular.

Every Thursday at 10am, our Craft ladies meet.

A last call, if you have filled a shoebox for the Operation Christmas Child and not brought it back, please do so next week.

On November 12, there is a Sunday service at 10am to farewell our interim Pastor Ian Cartmel and welcome our new Senior Pastor and family, Shane and Emily Westblade.

Hampers of Hope – Volunteers are welcomed to help pack hampers. Tuesday and Wednesday 21st and 22nd November. Please call 5032 9449 for more details.
