Swan Hill area police beat

Pump shed hide out

POLICE have arrested people who allegedly trespassed into a pump shed near Robinvale late last month.

Swan Hill police said between September 23 and 26, the alleged offenders abandoned their South Australian registered Toyota Hilux after it became bogged near the intersection of Walker Lane and Hattah-Robinvale Road.

They gained entry to the Goulburn-Murray Water pump shed by jemmying an open door and sheltering for a period of time.

There was damage sustained to the door and items were disturbed inside.

They have since be arrested in the Mildura area for other offences.


Firearms recovered

THREE firearms that were allegedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle have been recovered.

It is alleged offenders entered the vehicle at a McMonnies Road, Wemen address some time between August 13 and 14 and stole three firearms.

They were tracked down and arrested, with the firearms located.

The owner of the firearms was also charged for failing to secure firearms.


House damaged

A SEA Lake house was allegedly damaged by intruders last month.

Police said some time between 5pm and 10.30pm on September 25, a Hannon Street address was broken into.

The house was damaged inside, but it appeared nothing was stolen.

Police were looking at a “nominated” suspect.


Drugs in motel

A MAN was remanded in custody after police found drugs inside his motel room in Swan Hill.

The accused was arrested in Campbell Street about 5.30pm on September 30 on outstanding matters.

Police and the man returned to his motel room, where a search was conducted.

It is alleged within motel room a small quantity of drugs were located.

He was taken to the Swan Hill police station and remanded in custody.


Illicit substance possession

AN illicit substance was allegedly found inside a small bag.

Police intercepted a vehicle in Gerrand Street, Swan Hill about 1.40am on September 28.

Officers located a small zip lock back in a woman’s bag, containing what appeared to be an illicit substance.

She will face court in coming weeks.
