Swan Hill

Drug and weapon possessions: A woman has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, ecstasy and prescription medication after police carried out a number of vehicle intercepts in Gray Street early on Saturday, March 31. Police also seized a flick knife from a man’s vehicle, and he was charged with offences relating to carrying a prohibited weapon. Both individuals are required to attend Swan Hill Magistrates Court at a later date.

Burglary: Offenders forced entry to a maintenance shed at the Ken Harrison Reserve sporting precinct in Yana Street and stole various items between 5pm, April 4, and 11am April 6. Offenders forced entry again and stole further items between 3am and 6am Monday, April 7. Equipment stolen includes an industrial pressure washer, a Makita drill kit and a fuel can. They also caused damage to doors and windows. The combined cost of the damage and stolen items is estimated to be around $2000.

Kerang

Criminal damage: Offenders attempted to steal a white 2008 Ford Ranger from an address in Boundary Street between 10.30pm, April 2 and 3pm, April 3. The vehicle was secured and properly locked, but damage was sustained where implements were used to try and force entry.

Cohuna

Burglary: A male used force to remove the Cohuna Laundromat coin machine from the wall and caused extensive damage in the process after forcing entry to the locked office area about 9:08pm, Thursday, April 3. The offender took both the machine and its contents of about $1000 in mixed coins and notes. The machine itself was worth about $6000. Damage to door and wall is estimated to be around $1000.

Robinvale

Theft of motor vehicle: A stolen vehicle was involved in a minor collision on Murray Valley Highway after it was reported to be driving erratically on Wednesday, April 2. The vehicle was taken while the victim visited an address in Robin Street, leaving it parked and running outside. The victim returned to his car shortly after to find it gone. While he was reporting the theft at the Robinvale Police Station, a shaken motorist called to report the stolen vehicle had narrowly missed colliding with their vehicle. The offending driver and stolen vehicle were later located by NSW Police 10km west of Hay after the minor collision.
