THE Murray Valley Highway is closed between Kerang and Lake Charm after a man's body was found on the road early Friday morning.

Investigators have been told a vehicle was travelling north on the Murray Valley Highway at Reedy Lake when it struck an object on the road just before 2.30am.

The driver stopped and located the yet to be identified man, deceased on the road.
