MEMBER for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes has been sworn in as Victoria's first female treasurer.

The Labor MP, who sits in the upper house, replaced Tim Pallas after he quit politics earlier this week.

Ms Symes, from Benalla, has served as Victoria's Attorney-General since 2020.
