SWAN Hill Council has appointed a contractor to begin the reconstruction of Saleyards Road.

Work will begin on Monday with an expected completion of mid-April.

"The works will mean a closure to Saleyards Road affecting traffic coming from the Murray Valley Highway, with a detour in place," said Council director of infrastructure Leah Johnston
