Undefeated Swan Hill take on Deniliquin Wanderers

THE Swan Hill men’s team will look to remain undefeated when they host the Deniliquin Wanderers at the Ken Harrison Reserve in the this weekend’s BASL Division 2 third round.

Swan Hill are yet to taste defeat this season, after the Moama-Echuca Border Raiders forfeited the first round League Cup game to the Swans last Saturday. Deniliquin will pose a much sterner test that what Swan Hill have faced so far this season however, with the Wanderers sitting on top of the ladder following consecutive victories over Shepparton and Moama-Echuca.

Also in action this weekend will be the Swan Hill under-16 boys team, who will play in a curtain raiser to the men at 12pm tomorrow afternoon. The under-16s will be playing their first home game of the season against the Epsom Scorpions and will be hoping to build on their one win, two loss record to start the year.

The Swan Hill Women’s team will also be in action tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Bendigo to take on La Trobe University SC from 2pm. The Swans are still searching for their first win of the season after their 3-0 loss to Epsom last Sunday afternoon.
