A FORMER Swan Hill little athlete and current Australian shotput champion has been honoured with the naming of new discus cages.

Emma Berg made the trip back to Swan Hill last Friday afternoon to officially open the new facilities and launch the local Little Athletics season.

During the season launch, the club announced the cages would be named Berg's Cages in recognition of Emma and her family.
