The Guardian caught up with these friendly Lake Boga Football and Netball Club gentlemen at the entrance of the Lake Boga Recreation Reserve on game day last Saturday at Lake Boga's home game club against reining premiers, Woorinen. The clubmen were selling game day entries and programs as they have done at every home game for the past 30 years. The foursome are all past Presidents of the Lake Boga Football and Netball Club. They really enjoy catching up and having a laugh or two, or three. They laughingly told me that the selling booth was the 'closest the club can get us to being out the gate'. When asked if they had experienced any grief at the entrance over the years they did say that a handful of patrons had attempted to enter games without paying and had served them up with a fair mouthful. Did they get into the ground without paying ? "no" was the emphatic answer.
