Table Tennis Notes

SWAN Hill Homes and Sheds big gun John Threadgold and Pooles Accounting top gun Max Carroll went toe to toe to highlight round 6 of Swan Hill Table Tennis Association action on Monday.

With matches tied at five-all, these two alpha males slugged it out from the back of the table.

Bakker & Glen remain undefeated on of the Beck Legal ladder following a convincing 8/3 win over Morpeth Farms, with Jovenar Ocampo and Paul Johnson the winners best.

Violi Finance with Brett Armstrong in sparkling form defeated Kunat Thunder 6/5, with Mario Mangiameli also back to his brilliant best winning one match.

Chaz Tallboys led PDF Accounting into the top four of the Sharp Fruit B grade ladder, with Tallboys having great support from Brendan O’Brien and Sindhu Ravi.

The best for Swan Hill Windscreens was Tarin Tants and newcomer Leigh Waterman.

Syd Wilson Auto Electrics caused the upset of the year after defeating Swan Hill District Driver Ed 6/5, with Kevin Edwards suffering his first loss against a hot Luke Burge three sets to one.

A stacked Advanced Packaging, with Neil Williams and Tony Tom in good form, defeated an undermanned Swan Hill Chemicals 9/2.

Joanne Stevenson wiped a dejected Darren Stevenson off the court three sets to one.

In the final match of the night, Pizza Kitchen marched on to an 8/3 win over GMG Accounting, with Norm Campbell again claiming his three singles matches for the winners, while Joe Pino was the best for the defeated, winning two of the three matches for his team.

Our Club Championships are on next week, with our A Grade prediction being John Threadgold to defeat Jovenar Ocampo, with the outsider to cause damage likely to be Alan Thompson.

In B grade, our prediction is Chaz Tallboys to defeat Joe Pino, with the smoky to cause damage being Neil Caffery.
