Table Tennis Notes

SPOTS are becoming tight in the lead up to finals of the Swan Hill Table Tennis Association season, with lots of attention set to be paid to the Beck Legal ladder over the next few weeks.

The first A grade game saw Bakker & Glen win 6/5 over Kunat Thunder, with Paul Johnson carrying his team to a close victory, while Jason Mangiameli is really getting back to his unbeatable persona after winning all his singles matches for Kunat Thunder.

Another close A grade game had Sharp Fruit winning 6/5 over Violi Finance.

Santosh must have been hitting the practice court as he came away with a couple of big wins, while Violi Finance snuck in club champion John Threadgold as a sub and he walked away with three victories.

The last A grade match saw Pooles Accounting finish too strong for R&J Joinery, winning 7/4.

Max Carroll wasn’t his usual confident self having a few really tight games, but he did claim victory in all three singles matches.

There were some mixed results in B grade with Swan Hill Windscreens overcoming Pizza Kitchen 7/4 in the first game.

A new fill in on the night saw Savio light things up and walk away with three wins for Swan Hill Windscreens.

The next game saw Swan Hill & District Driver Ed win a close one over GMG Accounting, with the final score finishing 6/5.

Even though he was on the losing side, Joe Pino wound back the clock to record three wins, with a team effort of some singles wins and winning both doubles seeing Swan Hill & District Driver Ed get over the line.

Murray Valley Technology Centre ended up having a big win over Swan Hill Chemicals 9/2, with Joanne Stevenson very happy to walk away with two big wins on her birthday.

The last game of the night saw PDF Accounting win another close encounter over Syd Wilson Auto Electrics 6/5, with Chas Tallboys lighting things up with three singles and two doubles wins.
