Food and wine festival off the table for 2021

THE popular Swan Hill Food and Wine Festival has been cancelled for 2021.

The organisers said the decision was made after reviewing the COVIDSafe guidelines and holding discussions with key stakeholders.

The event was planned for the March 6 weekend.

“We understand that this is disappointing news, and we want you to know this decision was not made lightly,” organisers said in a post on social media on Friday.

“We believe that with our resources in the current climate, the constant threat of a COVID-19 outbreak, and social distancing rules, that this is the best decision for our community and many patrons that travel from far and wide to attend our event.

“We will be back bigger and better in 2022, and we look forward to opening our gates to you then.”
