COACH replacements will run between Southern Cross and Bendigo Friday night, June 20, and Saturday, June 21, and for the following week from June 23 to 29.
The bus replacements will be express only, with trains expected to still run from Swan Hill to Bendigo.
The disruptions are due to Metro Tunnel works and level crossing removal works at Diggers Rest.
If travelling to a station between Bendigo and Footscray, refer to the Bendigo Line disruptions table.
In 2025, nearly one in ten trains have been replaced by buses between Swan Hill and Bendigo.
A spokesperson for V/Line said the bus replacements are due to several factors including animal strikes, train faults and other infrastructure faults.
A number of level crossings on the Swan Hill Line are set to receive safety upgrades, including the installation of boom gates, axle counters, flashing lights and signage.
“Swan Hill and Echuca lines are among the top performing lines on the V/Line network for reliability over the past 12 months,” the spokesperson said.
