SWAN Hill train passengers have been urged to avoid non-essential travel on Friday morning due to ongoing industrial action.

No trains are expected to run before 8am with “significant” delays expected during that time.

The 6.54am Swan Hill to Melbourne service is one victim of the rail shutdown.

V/Line staff are also expected to strike on Monday and again next Friday.
