IN BLUSTERY conditions that made overhead smashes hard to judge — especially on court 15 — Beveridge triumphed over Werril by three sets and six games.
Beveridge’s men only dropped one set out of nine with Daniel Gardner, Al Thompson and Ron Fatt all winning three sets.
Adam Laughlin was Kieran Mays’ latest victim but did fight back with a strong last set win to gain some respect after he and John Wardle joined the love club in their first set.
Another entry into the love club was Brad Nolan who had dominated Pete Morrison but had no answer for Elise Morrison in the mixed.
