A fine time to dine

LAST weekend’s food and wine festivities continued on Sunday with the Produce and Design Market held at Riverside Park in the morning, followed by the Dine and Find event in the afternoon.

The market showcased wine, local produce, home-made crafts, cakes and preserves.

There was a variety of plants on offer as well as hot and cold drinks, barbecue and mini pancakes.

The perfect weather drew good crowds, with many visiting from outside the region and following on from the festival the day earlier.

The newly formed Dine and Find event was another success according to Mr Colombo.

“Feedback from the cafes and venues was very good and we will be looking to go it again next year,” he said.

“We will be looking to see how we can work in with the Splash Down and Rev up event better so events don’t clash.

“The food and wine festival has gathered a good following interstate and people travelling are looking to make a full weekend of their stay.

“We will be factoring that in to our future plans to ensure the region offers them a jam-packed three days of entertainment.”

The Dine and Find event allowed guests to visit a selection of eateries by following a map.

Participating venues offered specialised menus for the event and music performers also played at each venue.
